custom stamped PRIME PLASTIC
the edie heard custom
prime deputy putter
Once you hold one of these beauties, and feel how well it leaves the hand for short to medium range putts, you won't want to putt with anything else. The custom stamped Prime Deputy Putter by Dynamic Discs was designed by Edie's sister, Zoe, to help fund Edie's run at the San Francisco Open - May 25-27, 2018. We'll be featuring more of Zoe's design work here in the future. So check back for that soon!
You're going to love this putter.
And if you ask, maybe Edie will sign it before it ships!
why are people saying ctb?
Chad Thomas Buckley was the handsome barefooted guy crushing flicks at Harlow Platts DGC in Boulder, Colorado in the mid to late 90's. Any time he could go, he was throwing. Barefooted. If you've ever seen that little 9-hole course in South Boulder, you know how beautiful a course can be. Lush green grass. A lake. The front range of the Rocky Mountains. It's Disc Golf Heaven.
Chad played hard, but he worked even harder. A dedicated father of three, diagnosed with Oligodendroglioma (brain tumor) in 1999, he moved his family back home to Little Rock, Arkansas, to undergo several major surgeries, rounds of chemo, and multiple forms of radiation. He stayed POSITIVE. An absolute encouragement to anyone in his presence, you KNEW there was something special about Chad. Maybe it was the look in his eye when he told friends and family not to worry about him - but to LIVE every day to the fullest. That's who CTB was. He lived with a characteristic style and grace that lit up his community. Everyone who knew him can tell you: you didn't want to be negative or less than your best around CTB. He'd call you out. He'd rub your nose in it. And then he'd say: CARPE DIEM!
Chad did regular public speaking events at clubs, schools, civic organizations, and churches in Central Arkansas. In the last year of his life, already two years past the time his doctors had given him, he was still getting up at 5am to make the earliest possible chemotherapy appointments, all so he could get to work on time. Chad Buckley was a light. He worked long, hard hours, providing for his family through the darkest days anyone can face. CTB knew he was leaving us, yet he was always quick with encouraging words and inspiration. He passed away on September 23, 2003 in his home in North Little Rock, and is survived by his beautiful wife, Brooke - and their three children, Griffin, Haden, and Sophie.
Disc golf is funny sometimes. We separate ourselves from ball golfers in many ways, but in others, we're the same. One way we're NOT the same is that our targets are not called "Pins." We call them "Baskets." And yet most minis and tournaments still feature the "CTP" - Closest to Pin.
It's not a Pin! It's a Basket!
So - to honor Chad, and remind folks who hear this story to live every day to the fullest, KEY DGC has committed to giving away a CTB to any TD running a sanctioned tournament. That's right. Any tournament. Anywhere. And there's only one catch: CALL IT A CTB! And… YES…
